Fees
For individual or couples counseling, the fee for a 50-minute session is $165, paid by cash, check, or credit card. A limited number of reduced fee appointments are available due to financial hardship. Specifics will be discussed during your no charge phone consultation.
Insurance
Depending on your current health insurance provider, it is possible for services to be covered in part. I am an out-of-network service provider. Although I do not bill insurance companies directly, I am more than happy to assist you should you have any questions about reimbursement. Reimbursement rates and insurance deductibles vary so be sure to check with your insurance carrier prior to your first session to verify how your plan compensates for psychotherapy services. Once you have clarified your insurance coverage, I can provide you with a receipt (super bill) you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. The timeframe and percentage of reimbursement depends on your policy and coverage.
Good Faith Estimate
If you choose to pay privately, in compliance with the No Surprises Act (HR 133), you have the right to ask for and receive a “Good Faith Estimate,” outlining how much therapy will cost prior to any services, and also upon request. It will include per session rate, codes and services, and the maximum estimate up to 12 months. The total cost of treatment depends on a number of factors including the provider’s fee, frequency of sessions and duration of treatment, which varies with each client. These factors will be discussed and collaborated on in session, and you have the right to end therapy at any time. If you have a bill that is at least $400 more than the estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 24 hours beforehand to avoid being charged for the full rate of the session.
